@T T Larry, I never said winning trophies in the old days doesn't count historically anymore. All I said is "the memory of them is so long ago, far away". We see those victories in bad quality black & white T.V video tapes, so we hear stories about them like "once upon a time". This is why winning trophies in the computer age has limelight compare to winning them in stone age. So, to brag about success from the new millenium makes sense and Messi's time is now!!

@The Lecturer you have a serious problem bra.Weather trophies are old or New they create history and make you the best.So if someone break Messi's records in the next coming 100 years will they be old?????

@Nkunzebomvu, sometimes you need to use your own logic and stop believing fake news. What is so attractive about manunited to be the club with the biggest fan base in the world?, mxm!!! In the days of social media it is very easy to determine which club is the biggest in the world. Last time I checked Barcelona was the top ranked team on social media including Facebook, Instagram and twitter with 145 million followers and media value of $25,3 million, followed by Real Madrid with 141 million followers and media value of $17,2 million while Manunited were third with 88 million followers and media value of $12,1 million. Even though the gap between Barcelona followers and Real Madrid followers doesn't seem that huge but Barcelona interactions on social media are a staggering 1,45 billion compare to Real Madrid 601 million, while Manchester United has 522 million interactions. I also don't think it's logical to include jersey sales to determine the biggest club in the world because that varies every season depending on how the team is doing. For example, Chelsea sold more jerseys than Manunited in the season of 2015-2016. There you have it!!!

I often hear people claim that Manchester United is the biggest club in the world which is probably true when you include countries that are not footballing nations historically like Japan, China, Phillipines e.t.c but considering only the footballing nations throughout the world Barcelona is the biggest club. For example, Barcelona is the biggest club in all of Europe. It is the biggest club in Spain and it's the second biggest club in England after Manunited. Now eat that, chew it & swallow it, digest it & and let it get in to your system!!!

Why must we always lecture when it comes to real madrid fans? Talking about age old trophies is a matter of success not how big a club is. In S.A Sundowns is probably the most successful club in PSL history but we all know that it's not the biggest club here. Barcelona is a bigger club to Real Madrid in terms of fans world wide even though madrid have an individual player with the most number of fans in Cry7, google it!!! We all know that Cry7 has that bigger fan base thanks to his English background which also means he has both manunited and real madrid fans cheering him on a daily basis on social media. There are other tiny factors like e.g his physical attraction, which has nothing to do with him playing attractive football or being the best player around. To madrid fans, I've got a football brain for you to borrow shame.

The only thing they big at is that Copa de what what plastic thing of theirs. You will forever be second fiddle to the Fifa Football Club of the Century. It will take you more than 200 yrs for you surpass that accolade.....given you current state, I initially thought this "might" be your century....I admit I was completely wrong, you nothing but a bunch of second best. Live with it, you'll strong

@go khosi go-part 2, you can say Madrid is the most successful team compare to us so far and again "so far", but it's nowhere near bigger than Barcelona world wide. And the majority of titles Madrid won the memory of them is so long ago far away, to talk about them is a matter of "once upon a time". But when we consider the most successful team from the new millenium it's Barcelona hands down!!
