Ekstein Arrives To Give Bafana Full Complement

Bafana Bafana Now Have Their Full CHAN Squad Together

By Joe Crann - Oct 13, 2015 12:47 PM @YesWeCrann

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Pule Ekstein, has arrived for Bafana Bafana’s camp in Johannesburg, with the national team now boasting their full 27-man side.

All 27 of the players called up by stand-in head coach, Thabo Senong, have arrived, with the coach not having to deal with any withdrawals from his side as they prepare to face Angola in CHAN qualifiers over the next two weekends.

Due to the fact that the two games take place on non-FIFA dates, Shakes Mashaba and his technical team have had to pick a squad of players that are either fringe players at their clubs, suspended, or have been given permission by their teams to miss club matches.

The ‘senior’ Bafana team is currently in Central America and will take on Honduras in a friendly in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Senong and his current technical team, which includes ex-Orlando Pirates striker, Helman Mkhalele and former Chiefs Sports Scientist, Josh Smith, have seen their team arrive over the course of the last few days, with Ekstein’s arrival completing their squad.

This boy is overrated, he won't live up to expectations if the media continue giving credit to this boy when he has done nothing yet. give the boy a chance to make his name on the pitch not in the papers.

This guy is exciting to watch, he's just comfortable on the ball. I think it's about time psl teams changes to a 4-3-3, imagine him, yeye n salt n pepper in midfield, then shaba, abraw n Parker upfront

@Crockett You concern is the physique? No need for that for an attacking middle fielder. The boy is a magician, you will never know when he gonna release the ball and he have a eye for a goal.Doubters like you must learn a difference between a great and a good player. He can pull strings well .Amakhosi fan has spoken aweeh

@Bora' we Dawana kby i agree with you buddy, m a khosi fan but truly speaking i haven't seen anything amazing about this boy,,i always wonder how people who know and understand football can call the coach to bench Yeye for Ekstein, yes Yeye is getting old and sometimes hes out of form but you cant sacrifice him for Ekstein who doesn't even have physic to play against the toughest opponents Yeye face
