Bayern Munich moved 13 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table, after they recorded a 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
Thomas Muller had an early chance in the 2nd minute to put Bayern ahead after he burst into the Gladbach box but his shot went narrowly wide.
It was a fast paced game with Bayern piling up the pressure upfront and Borussia were looking to pick them up on the break quickly.
In the 21st minute Robert Lewandowski had a great chance to open the scoring but he failed to trouble Yan Sommer from close range.
The best chance of the half fell to Muller in the 38th minute when he unleashed a terrific shot from inside the box but it was saved by Sommer.

Manuel Neuer came to Bayern's rescue after the hour mark, as he rushed off his line to deny Andre Hahn a clear sight of goal.
Thomas Muller finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute with a fine finish from close range, after being played in by Thiago Alcantara.
Bayern continued to push forward and were still playing with high intensity.
Mats Hummels nearly extended the lead in the 80th minute finding himself free at the back post following a corner but he fluffed his chance.
Carlo Ancelotti's charges managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease to extend their lead at the top of the table.
