Reports: Didier Drogba To Help Chelsea Sign Star Striker
Ivory Coast and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is reportedly trying to help the Blues sign a star striker for next season.
According to The Sun, the 39-year-old will aid his former club in theirr attempts to re-sign his former teammate and friend Romelu Lukaku.
It is believed the two players are still in close contact, and the Stamford Bridge club could use this to land the Belgian star a second time.
When at Chelsea, the forward was seen as the player who could replace Drogba once his time was up, but unfortunately things did not go as planned, and he was sold to Everton for a fee of £28 million (R440 million) in 2014.
The 23-year-old has admitted before that he feels he has unfinished business at the London club, and recently said he would like to prove himself in the UEFA Champions League again.
Lukaku's contract talks with Everton have broken down in recent weeks, and many have taken this as a sign he is looking to rejoin his former team.
Chelsea are said to be looking to add another clinical striker to their squad as they may lose Diego Costa to a club in the Chinese Super League or elsewhere at the end of this campaign.
