Reports: Pep Guardiola's Manchester City Beat Jose Mourinho's Manchester United To Wonderkid
Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho will probably lock horns over a few transfers in the upcoming window, but it seems the Spaniard has beaten his counterpart to a 19-year-old wonderkid.
The former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is planning some changes for his new Manchester City squad, and is reportedly keen to make Colombian starlet Marlos Moreno part of his project at the Etihad.
The attacker impressed for Atletico Nacional in the 2015/16 campaign, and was part of Colombia's 2016 Copa America squad, scoring his first senior goal at the tournament.
A host of European clubs, including Mourinho's Manchester United and FC Barcelona, are reportedly chasing the starlet, who has often been compared to James Rodriguez.
However, it seems City are the frontrunners to sign the wonderkid after the Premier League giants held "positive discussions" with his club, according to the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old would apparently cost £8 million (R163 million), and Guardiola is planning to send him out on loan to gain more experience in Europe next season.
Moreno's club Nacional are said to have recently rejected an offer from Sporting Lisbon for the youngster.
