There could well be another end-of-season clearout at Naturena on the horizon, with another Kaizer Chiefs player now being linked with an exit.
The Siya crew reported last month that Michelle Katsvairo, who hasn’t featured for the club since December, had fallen out of favour. He could thus be on his way out and it appears that he may not be the only one.
Edward Manqele recently terminated his contract by mutual consent after he was deemed surplus to requirements and Siphelele Mthembu will be following him out of the door when his contract expires at the end of the season. Enocent Mkhabela, who is currently on loan with Platinum Stars, is another potential departure.
Meanwhile, Camaldine Abraw has failed to break into Steve Komphela’s plans despite his return to fitness and the fact that he has been registered by the league, with the Togolese forward falling right down the club’s pecking order.
Now, as reported in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, another foreigner who could be on his way out is Zambian striker, Lewis Macha.
Macha is only on the fringes of matters at Naturena and since the arrival of Gustavo Paez from Venezuela, he has been unable to play any sort of role in the first team.
Chiefs are known to be interested in trying to land Kuda Machachi in the next window, and in order to do so, they will have to make space by getting rid of one of the current foreigners on their roster.
