NFD sides, Black Leopards and Stellenbosch FC, are awaiting confirmation of the PSL team that will finish 15th on the log and join them for this year’s play-offs, while the focus will also be on the side that will be automatically relegated from Mzansi’s top tier.
As things stand, Baroka are at the bottom of the log with 25 points and are one point behind 15th placed Highlands Park who collected 26 points so far this season.
Free State Stars are 14th and tied on 27 points with 13th placed Chippa United, while Bloemfontein Celtic are 12th on the standings with 28 points.
Baroka will visit Ajax Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium for their last game and a loss for them will confirm their automatic relegation from the PSL.
If Baroka win and Highlands Park lose their last game, which will be against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Makhulong Stadium, the Lions of the North will be automatically relegated.
Should both Baroka and Highlands Park win their games and Free State Stars lose theirs against Chippa United, Ea Lla Koto will be automatically relegated.
A draw for Ea Lla Koto and wins for Highlands Park and Baroka, the Bethlehem outfit would go into the play-offs because of their better goal difference over Bakgaga.
Chippa will need just a draw to be safe and a win for them will be a bonus to confirm their stay in the PSL. A loss for the Chilli Boys and wins for both Baroka and Highlands Park will mean that the Port Elizabeth outfit is automatically relegated and if that happens, Bakgaga will participate in the play-offs.
Celtic could find themselves in trouble if they lose against Maritzburg United, Baroka wins by a big score as well as if Chippa and Stars draw their games and Highlands Park wins.
