Juve Dump Barca Out Of UCL To Book Semi-Final Spot

UCL Match Report: FC Barcelona v Juventus 19 April 2017

UEFA Champions League

Result: FC Barcelona 0-0 Juventus (0-3 on aggregate)

Date: 19 April 2017

Venue: Camp Nou

FC Barcelona crashed out of the UEFA Champions League, after losing 3-0 on aggregate to Serie A giants, Juventus.

The Serie A giants came into the encounter with a healthy 3-0 lead from the first leg at the Juventus Stadium.

The visitors carved out an opening after just five minutes as Mirlam Pjanic picked out Gonzalo Higuain, who failed to hit the target from close range.

Lionel Messi could have broken the deadlock after 19 minutes, but the Argentine somehow dragged his effort wide of the mark from inside the box.

Gianluigi Buffon came to Juventus' rescue on 32 minutes as he produced a fine save to deny Messi from close range.

However, the score remained goalless as the sides entered the halftime break.

Luis Enrique opted for a more attacking change in the 57th minute with Ivan Rakitic making way for Paco Alcacer.

Juventus nearly put the tie beyond Barca in the 58th minute when Pjanic's deflected crashed onto the crossbar with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen scrambling.

Messi squandered a glorious chance to get the opening goal 10 minutes later but the Argentine volleyed over the crossbar with Buffon way off his line.

The Catalan giants pushed for an opening goal as the second, while Juve threw on the likes of Mario Lemina and Kwadwo Asamoah to ensure they keep a clean sheet.

That's exactly how the clash ended, as the Italian outfit frustrated the Barcelona attack and now progress to the final four with a 3-0 aggregate win.

How the mighty have fallen! Their only relevance now is to talk about Real Madrid and compare Neymar and Messi with Ronaldo. Wow

Barcelona bench is not good. Whenever they play tough game they field all their strong players and find it hard to substitute as a results of their poor bench

Matabola....This Juventus is causing you excruciating constipation, "Madrid can't beat Juventus"...''.really. Do you know that we've beaten these cows 8 times whilst they have done that 9 times since the 60s? We've just blaksemed these cows in 2015. So seat down and digest the frustration you are currently feeling as the Los Blancos are off to defend the Champs League.

Shame on Barca, they will now back this minor Juventus to beat the mighty Real Madrid.....the boys of Madrid will show Barca how to beat Juve. I see no team that can stop Madrid now. I just wish that this small team from Madrid called Atletico can meet Real in the final so that we can abuse them for the 3rd time now lol
