Who Is Pisto Trying To Fool Here? – Reader’s Voice

Who Is Pisto Trying To Fool Here? – Reader’s Voice

The Brazilians coach Pitso Mosimane could not withhold from expressing his annoyance at Kaizer Chiefs' defensive strategy after his team lost 2-1.

Jingles was irritated by the Amakhosi parking the bus, calling it bad football. Sarcastically, the Brazilians mentor praised Orlando Pirates for playing the ball after he beat them by 3 goals to 1. Who is Mosimane trying to fool here, his colleagues’ or the supporters?

I do not think Pirates fans are happy about the loss because they played good football but I can assure him that Chiefs fans are happy for the win although they parked the bus.

Evidently, it seems like he is just playing mind games with his colleagues. The CAF Champions league winning coach is aware of his side’s strength when it comes to attacking so he is discouraging other opponents for sitting back and denying them a chance to score.

Honestly, It does not make sense to say Pirates played very well when they ended up losing. Results matter the most. Ball playing does not count on the league table.

Last year Komphela lost 3-1 to Mosimane when he tried to match them with ball-playing. The supporters were not happy. Now he learned that Downs is weak when caught in a counter-attack and he is exploiting that.

Similarly, Muhsin played the ball last year and he gave up the historic 6 goals that cost him his job. Every coach has his own methods.

Pitso should just admit that he cannot deal with all football strategies. Especially a team that defends very well. When Italy employed these tactics it was labelled the Italian Job but when Steve uses it, it’s called parking the bus.

Pitso must stop giving other coaches advice because he cannot coach all 16 teams. Instead, he must focus his energy on trying to find a way of removing 'a parked bus'.

@Bojwa_D2K I agree, we live in a country that allows freedom of speech and everyone is entitled to his opinion and Jingles is no exception. Thanks

Point taken Sir...but keep in mind that that's how Pitso defines "Good Football". Other people (like you) have their own definition.

That's true. Every coach is allowed to come up with his own strategy

Well said , Pitso should let teams play to their strengths cause no one is dictating him on how he should play.
